Woodchip

South East Wood Fuels Ltd is a coordinator of a current network of over 60 wood fuel producers spread across the south east and London with collective sustainable reserves of approximately 140,000 tonnes of woodchip per year. SEWF provides a complete service in the supply of wood chip fuel and is securing an increasing number of fuel supply contracts for modern wood heating systems. SEWF works with our members to guarantee the quality and reliability of wood chip supplies by:

  • Providing training for our members in the production and use of quality wood chip fuels from a variety of sources. This training must be completed before a member can supply through SEWF

  • Operating a network production system where members work together to meet a supply contract and provide backup in case of supply difficulties at a single member

  • Maintaining a quality assurance procedure for supply contracts under which the moisture content and size classification of the wood chip is monitored on a regular basis throughout the life of the contract.Click here to download the European woodchip standards sheet.

By these measures SEWF is able to offer consistently high quality supplies of wood chip with the added security of a large supplier base. SEWF acts as the principal contractor on behalf of our members.

Wood Pellet

Although first and foremost we SEWF are a woodchip supply company, we do have a number of members that offer wood pellet. To find out more contact a member of our team who will point you in the right direction.

Logs
